AGCO SISU Power - diesel engines for propulsion During the last 60 years, AGCO SISU Power has produced diesel engines in the Finnish town of Nokia. The yearly procuction is 30.000 diesel engines which primarily are used for agriciltural maschines, the marine sector and for industrial purposes. NORDHAVN has had the sole agency for SISU Diesel (previously Valmet) since 1970. Diesel engines from SISU Diesel are in sizes just beneath SCANIA's engine program for propulsion engines between 136 HP and 410 HP. |

New propulsion engine form SISU Diesel
The new Citus marine engine is now introduced in Denmark by NORDHAVN A/S. The engine is the newest porpulsion engine developed by SISU Diesel which has more than 60 years of experience within diesel engine production.
The many years of experience has resulted in a strong and reliable motor which also moves with the times. The engine is developed with the newest high tech in mind and lives up to all existing environmental rules and it delivers the same output with 100 % biofuel.
Common Rail injection system.
The new engine is made with common rail injection system which gives the opportunity to make a higher injection load than previously.
Furthermore the control unit adjusts the pressure on the engine so the engine’s combustion is optimized and the electrical control system allows five different diesel injections in the combustion process. The control system analyzes and adjusts the engin’s fuel quantity up to 100 times per second in order to optimize the consumption. This process I very vital in relation to emission and the continuous injections are one of the most significant factors when reducing emission along with optimizing the fuel economy.
The Citius programme consists of 4 and 6 cylinders marine engins at output from 136 HP to 410 HP. In the construction focus has been on robustness, low operation costs and that the engine is easy to service. Therefore it is possible to change fuel filter in a hurry without the use of any kinds of tools and without loss of oil from the engine. Spare parts are very standardized and therefore they are easy to get.
About SISU Diesel: SISU Diesel (former Valmet) produces SISU Diesel engine for primarily agricultural machinery, forest machinery and other off-road machinery and marine engines. The engines are produced in the town of Nokia in Finland and the engines are in the range of 60 – 400 HP. The company has more than 60 years of experience within engine development.
Marine products form NORDHAVN from engine to porpeller.
